Scholarship
Two thetas studying together during finals week
Scholarship is very important at our chapter and members are rewarded for good academic performance as well as supported in times of need. We have a minimum GPA requirement of a 2.5 for membership and services are available through our chapter and the school for those members who fall below that requirement. Gamma deuteron chapter is consistently above the All Sorority Average on campus and continues to lead the way among sororities by consistently ranking in the top three for grades each semester. Members have two academic days they can use each semester to miss chapter or some other event because of class or school work so that they feel Theta does not have to come before school. Girls are involved in majors all across the board which leads to a very diverse atmosphere for everyone to learn and gain advice from. Overall, Gamma deuteron chapter takes scholarship very seriously and our members are dedicated to doing their best in and out of the classroom. A scholarship banquet takes place each semester and girls are recognized for achievements such as Dean's List, highest GPA, and most improved. The coveted scholarship pearl is a real pearl awarded to a couple girls each semester for outstanding academic achievement, earning a 4.0 GPA. Many of the women in our chapter work hard to balance their academics, involvement on campus and in leadership roles.
